A day with our buddies

We have the best friends and I'm so thankful for them. The Bignons used to live in Smyrna and we all went to church together. Then they moved to a huge beautiful house, an hour from us. :( But thankfully Krissy is a great planner and includes us in a lot of their fun plans, so we get to see them pretty often. Daily I am thankful for this family.

We started the day at Burt's Pumpkin Patch, followed by lunch at the Bignon's house. Krissy is a great cook and she made us country fried steak, green beans and homemade mac & cheese. So delicious!! We ate out on the deck and it was such a beautiful day.

Macey woke up right after we finished our lunch so she played with Jimmy and Chris until Nicholas woke up. Krissy and I started our crafts... we had a lot planned for just a few short hours! We started with Fall wreaths wrapped in moss with pumpkins, beads, leaves, ribbon... aren't they pretty?! We weren't able to do our Trick or Treat bags for the babies but we made a plan and should have them ready by Halloween.

This was our inspiration for our wreaths. http://cleanmama.blogspot.com/2011/09/fall-wreath-tutorial.html

But I like ours a lot better!
We took a little break when Nicholas woke up and took a family walk to the pond and the playground in their neighborhood. I couldn't resist all of these adorable pictures!

She's posing! Twice she saw the camera come up to my eye so she stopped and pulled up the mower, and smiled. I'm so addicted to this little girl!!
Nicholas shared his lawn mower with Macey to take on our walk

I've always seen Jimmy when I look at this little angel... but I actually see me in this picture!

Curious what the three above are smiling at? Krissy was a dancing queen trying to get the babies to smile for the camera! I wish I had gotten a picture of her doing a toe touch and Macey mimicking her!!

Even Chris enjoyed a trip down the slide!

Back at the house, they shared a snack of fruit, pigs in a blanket and spinach artichoke dip. I love that Nicholas is always smiling!!

Thank you Krissy, Chris and Nicholas for an incredibly fun Fall day!

Gentry's Farm with the Allens

Today we went to Gentry's Farm with the Allens. Sara and Matt are friends of mine from Harding and they have the sweetest little boy, Jax. This was my first time to meet Jax and Sara's first time to meet Macey! I wish we could get together more often when I'm in Nashville but it's so hard to find extra time after seeing family. Hopefully we can do dinner before February, when we both deliver our second babies! Baby Beau Allen is due just a few days before Baby Sister.

It was so nice to spend time with an old Harding friend. I didn't appreciate my days at Harding until I left but I've always been thankful for the friends that I made. Sometimes I wish I had never left, but then I wouldn't have met Jimmy... everything happens for a reason.

I was incredibly bummed to have left my camera in Atlanta this weekend, but thankfully Sara got some great pictures!

Macey, "hand mommy, hand dada."

Of course, this sign should be changed to "priceless"...

We tried to leave Duckie in the car, unsuccessfully.
It was freezing this morning!

There was so much to do at this farm! There were two slides, one playground, a little cabin for the kids, two Teepees, a tractor hayride, tons of pumpkins (even some you could pick off the vine!), a small hay maze (with another slide), turkeys, chickens, roosters, goats, sheep, cows... and more that I can't remember. It was such a beautiful farm and I'm already looking forward to going back next year!

This was a playground that looked like a tractor... so cute!

Jimmy didn't believe me when I said it was going to be cold... poor thing froze!!

Sweet sweet babies!

Lions and Tigers and BABIES!

We had a great time at the Zoo today with our playgroup! It turned out to be most of our group, which was a lot of babies, mommies and strollers. We were every person's biggest nightmare with our huge caravan! :) The statues remained as Macey's favorite part of the zoo but I really enjoyed our lunch break. It was such a hot day, much hotter than we had expected, so having lunch in the shade was nice.

Mom got Macey these sunglasses a few weeks ago and she loves them!! And it cracks me up!
A model in the making??

Macey : "lap." me: "can you smile?" This is what I got. Love it!

"Back. Back. Macey, back."

"hug. hug."
Macey has a hard time sharing the gorilla statues and usually tells the other kid "no!" Thankfully she was happy to share with Nicholas.

Panda Stamp

The panda stamp is a must for each zoo trip. She gets one on one hand, then says, "nother one" and holds out her other hand. Same thing for me... I also get two panda stamps.

This picture is very accurate for where we are with sharing these days. She teases and says "mommy's turn" while handing me something. When I reach to get it, she immediately says, "Macey's turn" and pulls the item away. Hmmm... we need to work on this. So although she appears to be sharing her water with Elliott, she really is about to pull it away.
9 toddlers, plus one that was already out of his stroller and running.

Macey usually runs all over the zoo, so today was a little different. I was able to keep her in her stroller for most of the trip so that we could stay with the group. She had a good time with her buddies.
"Hi Miles. High Five."
Lunch with our buddies! Macey became enamored by Miles in his stroller and kept walking over to say hi. She ended up sharing his dried fruit, thanks Kerri!

War Eagle!

Today is Dada Day and I'm hoping little buddy starts feeling better soon... It was a slow start to the day but hopefully once they get to the park, she'll forget about her teeth and start having fun.
I made this little shirt for her last night and this morning. Not bad but I hope to do some other things for October. She loves it. Really. ;)
Once she got a blanket and the AU flag, things starting looking up.

Headed out for a run before spending the morning at the park! He is one very happy daddy!!

We love this view when we are pushing Macey in her stroller... She's even adorable at this angle!
