This was a great weekend for us to spend time with some of our families. Jimmy went to Cordele Friday to spend time with his extended family and to get the land ready for deer season. My man loves hunting and any chance to sit in the woods to watch nature wake up. He killed his first buck last year and we have talked about it ever since... Macey and I spent the night with my parents and Mom helped me get started sewing. There are so many cute blankets, bibs and burp clothes at boutiques that look so simple to make! So we got started with two blankets this weekend... Sunday after church, Jimmy's dad and Grandaddy came through Atlanta on their way home and stopped by for lunch. I love any opportunity to have our grandparents in pictures with Macey, and the above picture of three generations of James Henry Doroughs with Macey is incredibly special.
After our company left and Macey woke up from her three hour nap, we decided to sit on the floor and play. She has just starting sitting by herself for almost a minute at a time. I finally had the camera ready to snap a picture before she toppled over.
And of course Sunday means lots of time with Daddy!

What a great blanket! Great job!
